The Middle Country Central School District’s Bicycle Path Pre-K/Kindergarten Center recently took part in an extremely successful collection drive to support United States Soldiers stationed in Iraq. Students from three different classes and their families collected many items such as food, toiletries, games and gift cards. The items were then packed into care packages and were sent with hand-made cards to thank the soldiers for their service.
The students were inspired to participate in the initiative after learning about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s passion for spreading kindness and being helpful to others.
