Middle Country Students Get a Look into Their Future

Middle Country Central School District students from Selden Middle School and Dawnwood Middle School recently participated in the District’s ninth annual Job Shadowing Day. The eighth grade students currently enrolled in the family and consumer sciences course and technology course had the opportunity to spend a day with local employers to get a firsthand look at potential career paths.

This learning experience, sponsored by the Middle Country Business Advisory Board, provided students with an insight into the responsibility, time management, hard work and teamwork skills involved in having a successful and fulfilling professional life. The District recognizes the importance of properly preparing students for the workforce and provides similar opportunities throughout the school year to best prepare students for their future.
