North Coleman Road Elementary School Takes the Pledge with Sandy Hook Promise to Promote Kindness and Inclusivity

North Coleman Road Elementary School is proud to announce its partnership with Sandy Hook Promise, launching a heartfelt initiative to foster kindness, friendship, and inclusivity among students and staff. Embracing the motto “Hello!” as the first step towards creating a supportive environment, North Coleman Road Elementary School has organized a series of engaging activities aimed at preventing bullying and building a strong community.

“We believe every student deserves to feel accepted and supported. Our pre-k teacher, Emma Grzymala came to me about these activities for our school for all students to feel welcomed as soon as they walk into the building,” said Kim Pelan, Principal of North Coleman Road Elementary School. “By partnering with Sandy Hook Promise and engaging in these activities, we are addressing bullying and celebrating the unique qualities each student brings to our community.”

In a vibrant display of unity, students and staff lined up in their assigned colors, forming a stunning Rainbow of North Coleman Road Elementary School. This visual representation symbolizes our commitment to ensuring that every individual feels included and valued within our school community. Throughout the week, students have participated in various activities designed to promote kindness and friendship. From collaborative art projects to peer support sessions, the focus has been on creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all.
