Newfield High School Student Named National Winner in America250’s 2026 America’s Field Trip Contest

Newfield High School ninth-grade student Sarah Faridi has been selected as one of just 250 student awardees nationwide in America250’s 2026 America’s Field Trip Contest, a prestigious national competition celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

Students from across the United States were invited to share their perspectives on what America means to them through original writing or artwork. Sarah’s outstanding submission earned her recognition among the nation’s top student participants and secured her an incredible educational opportunity this summer.

As part of her award, Sarah will travel to San Francisco, California, where she will participate in an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at some of the country’s most iconic landmarks. The trip is designed to inspire students through immersive learning experiences that connect them with America’s history, culture, and future as the nation prepares to commemorate its 250th anniversary in 2026.

“We are incredibly proud of Sarah for this remarkable accomplishment,” said Scott Graviano, Newfield High School principal. “Her creativity, thoughtfulness, and dedication have earned her national recognition, and we are excited to see her represent Newfield High School on this extraordinary journey.”

The school community would also like to extend its sincere gratitude to Ms. Klein and Ms. Serabian, whose support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the submission process helped make this achievement possible. Sarah’s success reflects the talent, determination, and excellence found throughout the Newfield High School community. We look forward to celebrating her achievement and following her exciting experience this summer.
