Oxhead Road Elementary School proudly welcomed students, families, staff, and community members to its annual Multicultural Night, an evening dedicated to celebrating the many cultures and traditions represented within the school community.
The event featured cultural performances, traditional music and dance, international cuisine, educational displays, and interactive activities that highlighted the backgrounds and heritage of families from around the world. Students and parents proudly shared customs, clothing, languages, and traditions from countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and the Caribbean.
“Our Multicultural Night is one of the most meaningful events of the school year because it brings our community together through learning, appreciation, and celebration,” said Dr. Phyllis Saltz, principal of Oxhead Road Elementary School. “We are proud of the diversity within our school and grateful to the families who helped make this evening such a success.”
Families had the opportunity to explore exhibits, sample cultural dishes, and participate in activities designed to promote understanding and inclusion. The event also encouraged students to develop a deeper appreciation for different perspectives and traditions. Teachers, staff members, and volunteers worked together to organize the celebration, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
Oxhead Road Elementary School extends its appreciation to all participating families, volunteers, performers, and community supporters who helped make the evening memorable.
