Centereach High School’s Music Department is celebrating an outstanding day of achievement as both orchestra and chorus students showcased their talents at the Hershey Park Music Competition.
The Centereach Orchestra, under the direction of Ms. Wesnofske, delivered an exceptional performance, representing the school with pride and professionalism. Their dedication and musicianship were evident as they competed among top ensembles. At the same time, Centereach High School Chorus students, led by Mr. Hough, took the stage with equally impressive performances, demonstrating their commitment to excellence and passion for vocal music.
The results speak volumes about the students’ hard work and the strength of Centereach’s music program. The Full Orchestra earned 1st place and was awarded Best Overall Orchestra with a Superior Rating, the competition’s highest distinction. The Men’s and Women’s Choirs each placed 1st in their respective categories, both receiving Excellent Ratings. Additionally, the Select Vocal ensemble secured 3rd place with an Excellent Rating.
These accomplishments highlight the dedication of the students and the leadership of their directors, whose guidance continues to inspire musical excellence. Congratulations to all Centereach High School music students and staff on an incredible showing at Hershey Park!
