Fifteen members of the Middle Country Central School District staff received recognition at the thirteenth annual Special Performance/Achievement Recognition and Commendation (SPARC) Award Ceremony, which recognizes staff members for their exceptional community service and proven activism within the District. Town of Brookhaven Councilman Kevin LaValle was in attendance to present certificates to the recipients and honor them for their continued contributions to the Middle Country community.
Various student and community organizations helped recognize the deserving staff. The Dawnwood Middle School Jazz Ensemble and Centereach High School String Quartet provided a selection of music for the event.
